Our providers

At Durham Health & Wellness we believe in a partnership between patient and practitioner. Our goal is to repair, support, and improve health and wellness by understanding each patient’s unique set of needs. As we age proper skincare, nutrition, and lifestyle contribute to overall health and wellness. While our main focus is on lifestyle modifications, we do use medications when necessary. We want our patients to look as great as they feel, which is why we incorporated medical aesthetics into our practice. By offering aesthetic services, we embrace and enhance your natural features, while helping you look and feel your best.

Colleen Prince, RD, PA-C

Registered Dietitian and Physician Assistant

Colleen Prince, RD, PA-C has been working in the medical community for the last 10 years.  She completed the Vanderbilt University Dietetic Internship program in 2007 and started her career providing medical nutrition therapy to Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant patients at Vanderbilt's Medical Center and then in Seattle, Washington with University of Washington and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.  She realized she wanted to do more in medicine and decided to become a Physician Assistant.  In 2012, Colleen completed her Master's of Health Science and PA degree at Duke University.

She worked in Urology at UNC-Chapel Hill prior to working with Dr. Thomas Motyka at Osteopathic Medical Arts.  It is there that she developed her passion for Integrative Medicine and treating hormone imbalances, including hypothyroidism.  She joined A4M and, in her study of anti-aging and functional medicine, she developed a passion for aesthetics and helping patients match how they feel on the inside with the outside.

When Colleen is not working, she enjoys cooking, reading on a beach, and spending time with her family and dog, Fiona.  She is an exercise enthusiast and recently completed her 10th marathon.

Sally Joseph, WHNP

Women's Health Nurse Practitioner

Sally Joseph, MSN, WHNP, has been providing Women’s Health services for over 20 years, most recently in private integrative medical practices in Chapel Hill and prior to that in Cary, New York City and outside of Philadelphia.  She was trained at the University of Pennsylvania, and also received integrative medicine training at the Institute for Functional Medicine, and is very experienced in the use of bio-identical hormone therapy.  Sally’s hope is to help her patients find true wellness.  She always works to find the underlying issues and not simply treat individual symptoms.  It is her strong belief that taking the time to listen to a patient and get a thorough history is the most important element when working towards wellness goals.

In addition to performing routine well woman exams, treating gynecologic problems and prescribing bio-identical hormone therapy, Sally also has interest in and experience with many significant issues that are chronic problems for women.  Some of these chronic problems include insomnia, anxiety, depression, abnormal weight gain, PCOS, insulin resistance and cardiovascular disease risks.

When not caring for her patients, Sally enjoys painting in acrylics, cooking and long walks with her husband.  She has two children, a son in college and a daughter in high school.  Both children played high school sports, and her daughter is still a year round soccer player.   Sally and her husband have also opened a School of Rock in Chapel Hill.  That keeps her very busy outside of the office!
